How we choose

All of Trip organizes the property details and review snippets that appear in Agoda's search response. We do not estimate prices, amenities or locations that a source doesn't confirm.

What we use

• Property name, cumulative rating and total review count
• The nightly price for the specified dates and occupancy
• Distance and amenity information included in the search response
• Review snippets and traveler types included in the search response

How we rank

We favor the highest-priced, best-reviewed five-star hotels, resorts and private villas. Cumulative ratings receive a Bayesian adjustment (a baseline rating of 7.5 with a weight of 30) to reduce over-scoring of properties with few reviews. The adjusted rating combines with the price tier, the review volume and traveler-type fit from the sample in that article.

Interpreting the sample

The total review count and the type-analysis sample are different numbers. Traveler-type shares are aggregated only from the snippets in the search response, not from the full review set, so a small sample is shown as directional reference only.

Prices & missing data

Prices are observations under the search conditions at the time of fetch. Taxes, member rates, currency and availability can change them. When a value is absent from the response, we do not substitute a prior value or an estimate.
